History of KC Arts
We are a family-run business, in operation for over 33 years.
Our store was founded by two art students who opened the shop in the beautiful Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn in the early 1980s. As local artists they saw a lack of helpful and knowledgeable staff in local department stores. They opened the shop with intent to fill that void. Through years of experience in the Custom Picture Framing and Art supply industry KC Arts has built close relationships with customers. Our team at KC Arts spends time getting to know what's important to you so we can deliver on your needs and wishes, time and again.
The KC Arts Difference
“Made in Brooklyn” line of frames.
We use American hardwoods (from Vermont) stain and finish ourselves with a UV water born lacquer. The colors we have created are very unique. There is no other picture frame shop in the Tri State area that actually makes their own frames. This is a true made in America/made in Brooklyn product. And the prices are better than everyone else.
Delivery and installation
With 25 years of installing art and mirrors in the down town Brooklyn area, there is no job to big or too small.
No one (not even a good local carpenter) has the “Know How” or the equipment to do the kind of hanging that keeps you pictures straight and perfectly level.
Largest selection of up to 50% off frames
We have closeouts and other clearance frames from our suppliers. We are always 1st on the list of framers that our suppliers go to with any special discount frames. And we like to pass the savings on to our customers.
But keep in mind, we only use the best quality materials for your frames. Not the knock off frames the Big Box stores use.
